Two Toed Sloth crossing the road

First I thought it was an insured dog, but then I quickly realized it was a sloth just about to cross the road! We turned around immediately and made sure it wouldn’t be run over by the cars and trucks which were passing really fast.
Thank god I had my camera … I could have taken better material, but I didn’t want to freak it out… what a cute and crazy looking little guy…! About an hour before that happened I was taking to Will (a photographer from NYC who was here on holiday) about sloths and how rarely you see them… I said “ Well, maybe today is the day”… I had no idea that it would be a two toed one (which I have never seen before) and especially not a sloth on the ground crossing the high way in front of us!!! Too bad Will wasn't with us :)
